An apostille is a certificate issued by the Secretary of State that authenticates the origin of a public document for international use under the Hague Convention. Apostilles are commonly required for birth certificates, marriage certificates, business documents, powers of attorney, and other official records being used outside of the United States.

• Certain states (NY, HI, PR, Guam, etc.) may require additional fees.

Wanderlust Notary Services LLC is a private document processing service and is not affiliated with any government agency. Apostilles and authentications are issued by the appropriate state or governmental authority. Fees charged are for administrative handling, document preparation, courier coordination, and processing services.
Clients are strongly encouraged to email a scanned copy or clear photo (front and back) of all documents prior to mailing originals. Documents submitted without review may be subject to rejection by issuing authorities.
Notary services, when required, are billed separately and in accordance with North Carolina statutory notary fee limits. Travel fees, if applicable, will be disclosed in advance.
All apostille processing fees are non-refundable once processing has begun, regardless of outcome. Government filing fees, shipping costs, and third-party courier fees are non-refundable.
If a document is rejected due to:
• Improper notarization
• Missing or incorrect signatures or seals
• Errors originating from the client or third parties
Additional processing fees may apply for resubmission.
Turnaround times are estimates only and are subject to government agency processing schedules, holidays, and unforeseen delays.
